Sudin Onlus was founded in August 2006 following the experience of ICOP spa (Basiliano, Udine), which built the “Ponte Italia” bridge connecting the town of Yrol in South Sudan on behalf of the Italian Civil Protection. During the works it became clear that the region lacked skilled craftspeople. At the suggestion of the Comboni missionaries operating in the area, a project was launched to build the first vocational training school to teach South Sudanese youth the most useful trades.

Mission

The Association’s goal is to engage businesses alongside the other organisations that typically work in the social sector (non-profits, parishes, private citizens) in cooperation programmes.
